From irons #5 to #7, 25g of titanium with light specific gravity are used in the head.

The world's first soft iron forging with pure titanium
In order to achieve the ideal feel and sound as well as enhanced mis-hit forgiveness while maintaining the muscleback shape, the soft iron forging process with titanium used was incorporated for the soft iron for the round rod.
By incorporating 25 g of titanium, which has about half the specific gravity of soft iron, an extra 17 g of weight is created, making the face size and deep center of gravity comparable to those of soft iron CB irons despite being a muscleback.
Pure titanium is evenly distributed at the rear inside through sophisticated forging technology.
Craftsman leveraged to attain outstanding feel
Built-in titanium has its setbacks in that hits will feel harder.
In addition, titanium is not built into the irons ＃8 to PW, which causes differences in the feel of the ball.
To solve this problem, the soft S20C material is used for irons ＃5 to ＃7 in which titanium is built in, and the hard S25C material is used for irons ＃8 to PW in which titanium is not used. By using different soft iron materials with different hardness, consistent sound and feel across the irons were pursued.
Attention to shape unification with different specific gravity
Using 25 g of titanium in irons ＃5 to ＃7 and no titanium in irons ＃8 and under causes the disadvantage of losing uniformity in size.
PROTO-CONCEPT solved this problem by successfully unifying size by designing the heads with well-calculated thickness.
This aligns the information perceived when addressing and performance.
Fusion of materials in pursuit of function
The same functionality as a cavity back iron was achieved by combining different materials in a single head.
This model demonstrates enhanced mis-hit forgiveness while retaining the feel and maneuverability that are the greatest advantages of musclebacks.
By incorporating pure titanium, which has about half the specific gravity of soft iron, the effects of a cavity back with heavier outer circumference and a lighter inner circumference is achieved.
By evenly incorporating pure titanium into the positions that retain face thickness, the solid and thick feel of musclebacks is attained while enhancing mis-hit forgiveness.
The process of allocating pure titanium in the middle and back of the head without compromising the face thickness is a very special technology that requires considerable time together with development and research costs compared to the development of typical soft iron forged irons. PROTO-CONCEPT’s uncompromising pursuit of its philosophy, however, led to its materialization.
