The SAE8655 chrome molybdenum steel face features a variation in thickness ac ross three strategic stages. To counteract the unsatisfactory feel and sound of face-welded irons, the lower part of the fac e is thickened to 2.7mm, while the top blade is made thinner. This ensures that players with slower swing speeds can still experience optimal ball retention and distance. The upper part of the face is processed with high-frequency heat treatment to increase the rigidity, successfully creating strength that c an withstand with the 1.8mm thinness.
